Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra claimed last week that there’s a “strong chance we’ll see a resurgence” of COVID-19 and new variants this fall, presumably around the time of the November midterms.
Becerra made the assertion during an interview with Just the News outside of the White House.
“What I will tell you is that come the fall and winter, most everyone who is an expert on pandemics and these viruses will tell you [there’s a] strong chance that we’ll see a resurgence of the virus, whether it’s the variants that we have now or new variants,” Xacier Becerra said.
According to the CDC’s “Covid Data Tracker“, 1,015,568 people have died from Covid in the United States since the virus was discovered.
The last full day of Donald Trump’s presidency, the death toll reached 400,000, KHN reported.
Similarly, 615,568 deaths have occurred under Biden’s watch since he took office. Meanwhile, Joe Biden vowed to “shut down the virus”. Video Below
