President Donald Trump took to Twitter Wednesday evening, floating the idea of appointing a Special Counsel to examine “voter fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election”.
“After seeing the massive Voter Fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election, I disagree with anyone that thinks a strong, fast, and fair Special Counsel is not needed, IMMEDIATELY. This was the most corrupt election in the history of our Country, and it must be closely examined!” the president declared.
President Trump’s Official Tweet
In response, General Michael Flynn put his full support behind the “fearless” attorney Sidney Powell as the best option to handle the task at hand.
“@realDonaldTrump you know precisely what my choice is @SidneyPowell1,” General Flynn tweeted in a reply to a Twitter user who shared the same thought. “Why? Because she will go to the truth and that scares the hell out of everyone.”
General Flynn Reacts To President Trump’s Tweet
Flynn followed up by tweeting seven characteristic’s about Ms. Powell, which he thinks makes her the best possible choice for the job:
The New York Times reported earlier in the week that Sidney Powell is being considered by President Trump to serve as “special counsel overseeing an investigation of voter fraud.”
Trump’s allies have floated the idea of authorizing an executive order that would require the appointment of a special counsel to investigate foreign election interference. And now that DNI John Ratcliffe purportedly told CBS News that China, Iran and Russia interfered with the 2020 presidential contests, the prospects of a special counsel seem all the more likely.
Back in November, Ms. Powell insisted that she is “going to release the Kraken” on all entities and people who were involved in the alleged effort to “overthrow” President Trump through manipulating America’s voting system.
Sidney Powell has since described “the Kraken” as a “mythical sea monster that can destroy anything in its path,” and first heard the term from a line in a movie. “I have been released to go after all of the fraud I can see and find,” Sidney told Newsmax host Grant Stinchfield just two weeks ago.
