45th President Donald J. Trump issued a statement on Truth Social Wednesday urging voters in South Carolina to support Republican Katie Arrington, who received his endorsement in February.
Arrington is running to “unseat” Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), who Trump called a “nasty RINO Congresswoman with the fresh mouth”.
“Katie Arrington of the Great State of South Carolina is making significant progress in her race to unseat Nancy Mace, the nasty RINO Congresswoman with the fresh mouth and absolute hatred of America First,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“Katie is fighting hard and effectively. South Carolina, VOTE for Katie Arrington,” he urged.
Arrington is running for South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District, which is anchored in Charleston. According to her campaign website, Arrington is a Pro-Trump conservative with strong family values, will protect the unborn, build the wall, get our economy moving again, and stand up to Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and the radical left.
In March, Katie Arrington called Rep. Nancy Mace “the Liz Cheney of the South”, a “turncoat” and a “RINO,” when she made her first major campaign appearance in the state at a “Save America” rally.
