78-year-old Joe Biden criticized Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) and Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) during a speech on Tuesday, in which he called reported covid outbreaks “a pandemic of the unvaccinated” and some states’ responses “disappointing”, as previously reported by The Freedom Times.

“If some governors aren’t willing to do the right thing to beat this pandemic, then they should allow businesses and universities who want to do the right thing to be able to do it,” Biden said. “I say to these governors, please help. If you’re not going to help, at least get out of the way of people who are trying to do the right thing.”

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis responded to Biden’s criticism on Wednesday, telling the 78-year-old Democrat career politician that he does not “want to hear a blip about Covid from you” until the southern border is secure.

“Let me tell you this: If you’re coming after the rights of parents in Florida, I’m standing in your way. I’m not gonna let you get away with it. … If you’re trying to restrict people, impose mandates, if you’re trying to ruin their jobs and their livelihoods and their small business, if you are trying to lock people down, I am standing in your way, and I’m standing for the people of Florida. So, why don’t you do your job? Why don’t you get this border secure? And until you do that, I don’t want to hear a blip about Covid from you!DeSantis declared, in part. [Emphasis added].

On Thursday, Biden continued his attack with DeSantis over coronavirus restrictions by acting as if he didn’t know who the Florida governor was when asked a question by a reporter.

“When I asked the president his reaction to @RonDeSantisFL saying he is ‘getting in the way’ over COVID restrictions. Pres. Biden responded “Governor who?… that’s my response.” NBC News White House Correspondent Kelly O’Donnell tweeted Thursday. Continued Below

On Friday, Governor DeSantis responded to Biden’s “governor who?” remark, laughing and mocking the 78-year-old Democrat.

“I guess I’m not surprised Biden doesn’t remember me. I guess the question is what else has he forgotten? Biden’s forgotten about the crisis at our southern border. I can tell you that. Biden’s forgotten about the inflation that’s biting the budgets of families all throughout our country. Biden has forgotten about the demonstrators who were fighting for freedom down in Cuba. And Biden’s even forgotten about the Constitution itself, as we saw what he did with the moratorium,” DeSantis said.

“I can just tell you I’m the governor who protects parents in their ability to make the right choices for their kids education. I’m the governor who protects the jobs and the education and businesses in Florida by not letting the federal government lock us down. I’m the governor who answers to the people of Florida, not to bureaucrats in Washington,” the Republican Florida governor noted. Video Below
