Former Attorney General Jeff Sessions blasted Congresswoman Ilhan Omar and the rest of “The Squad” after repeated calls for defunding the police.
On Friday, Rep. Omar specifically targeted the Minneapolis Police Department, where she suggested it’s time to “disband” them and “reimagine public safety in Minneapolis.”

“The Minneapolis Police Department has proven themselves beyond reform,” Omar tweeted. “It’s time to disband them and reimagine public safety in Minneapolis.”

After seeing Omar’s tweet, Jeff Sessions replied, “Radical Leftists like Ilhan Omar and the rest of ‘the Squad’ are dead wrong.”
“Don’t defund the police. Defund the thought police,” he added.

Moments later, Omar responded to Sessions.
“You called the NAACP Un-American and said you thought the Klu Klux Klan were okay until you learned they smoked pot,” Omar alleged. “Maybe sit this one out.”

Sessions fired back, “You brushed off the 9/11 attacks as “some people did something.” You’ve celebrated anti-Semitism. You have a habit of rooting for the bad guys, and you should stop unfairly demonizing our brave law enforcement officers. I for one will never sit out defending those who defend us.”
“How’s your brother, by the way?” he questioned.

Sessions is referring to the unproven allegation that Rep. Omar married her brother to assist his entry to the United States.
Despite Omar’s denial, the allegation has not been debunked, even by the left-leaning fact checker Snopes, which concluded, “the evidence uncovered thus far isn’t definitive enough to come down on one side or the other.”
