Joe Biden was caught on camera apparently limping away from his orthopedic doctor visit on Sunday after suffering a foot injury over the weekend.
Initial reports indicated that Biden slipped and twisted his ankle while playing with his dog Major. However, Doctor David O’Conner, who is treating Biden’s injury, later said in a statement that the former Vice President is actually suffering from small foot fractures. As a result Biden will likely be required to wear a walking boot for “several weeks.”
White House correspondent Kelly O’Donnell of NBC was one of the first reporters to confirm the accident.
O’Donnell tweeted, “NEW BIDEN DOCTOR VISIT TODAY: Officials say, ‘On Saturday Nov. 28, President-elect Biden slipped while playing with his dog Major, and twisted his ankle. Out of an abundance of caution, he will be examined this afternoon by an orthopedist.'”
