Monday evening on Fox News, Tucker Carlson blasted Democrats who struggled to use the word “Christians” after a coordinated attack of suicide bombers that struck three Catholic churches and three hotels in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday. He further called out The Washington Post, who ran a bizarre headline.

At least 290 people were murdered and several more wounded. The attackers were identified as radical Muslims and their targets were Christians.

Tucker Carlson said in his opening that some of the left went to great lengths to hide the fact of calling it what it is– Muslims targeted Christians, their motives were religious.

“Maybe because it is so true and so obviously, nobody in authority wanted to say it out loud. So instead, they went to great lengths to avoid clear language.”

Tucker noted Barack Obama tweeted, “The attacks on tourists and Easter worshippers in Sri Lanka are an attack on humanity.”

Hillary Clinton used the same awkward phrase and also tweeted, “I’m praying for everyone affected by today’s horrific attacks on Easter worshipers and travelers in Sri Lanka.” (Continued Below)

“Easter worshipers? Why don’t you say Christians?” Tucker asked. “Nobody worships Easter. There’s a reason, of course, euphemisms are never accidental. Our leaders believe ‘Christians’ are the problem. They’re the dangerous ones. They can’t be trusted.”

He pointed out that The Washinton Post ran a headline that read, “Sri Lanka church bombings stoke far-right anger in the West”. Tucker responded to the headline and said, “As if you’d have to be some kind of Nazi to be upset about church bombings, that’s what they seem to think.”

Tucker added, “That’s why our leaders consistently ignore the persecution of Christians around the world. When U.S. policy contributes to that persecution, and it does, they say nothing about it.” (Continued Below)

Tucker suggested that we implement full protection of freedom of religion to the countries that we send aid to, and if not, cut off their aide and asked, “Why wouldn’t we do that? Because we’re afraid of being criticized by the nihilists at The Washington Post?”

Donald Trump Jr. also responded to The Washington Post’s headline on Twitter and wrote, “Yes, Christians hoping to not be murdered by extremists is “far-right anger” Now, lets discuss the leftist talking points refusing to mention Christians as the victims of this gruesome attack on their most holy day. Your paper is a disgrace!!!”

Newt Gingrich slammed Obama and Hillary for struggling to use the word “Christians” and also wrote on Twitter, “How do President Obama and Secretary Clinton both come up with Easter worshippers in their tweets about the murders in Sri Lanka? To have both of them use the same term the same day is strange. Is Easter Worshipper the left’s new way to avoid the word Christian? Pathetic”.
