During a Monday night interview on Fox News‘ “Hannity”, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich reacted to Donald Trump winning the Iowa caucuses by a landslide.
Trump finished with 51% of the vote, with 99% of the votes counted. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis won just over 21%, edging former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley at 19%, AP reports.
“This is the people’s victory, despite every media, despite every lawsuit, despite every effort to destroy [Donald] Trump,” Newt Gingrich said.
“The people of Iowa have stood up and said, ‘no’, he is our candidate,” the former House Speaker continued.
“He is our nominee. Get over it. … He’s gonna win the nomination,” Gingrich said.
“… Trump is not a candidate. Trump is the leader of a nationwide movement to take power back from the establishment,” he noted.
