79-year-old Joe Biden, during a press conference on Monday, announced a ban on unlicensed kits to manufacture so-called ghost guns at home — homemade firearms lacking serial numbers, making them difficult to trace.

The new rule includes a ban on “buy build shoot” kits that people can purchase online or at a store without a background check. The new rule clarifies that such kits qualify as “firearms” under the Gun Control Act and, as a result, commercial manufacturers of them must be licensed, include serial numbers and conduct a background check prior to a sale, The Hill reported.

During the presser, Joe Biden showed the audience what a so-called “ghost gun” was, and claimed, “This is the gun. It’s not hard to put together…”

Following Biden’s remarks over so-called “ghost guns”, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) suggested that the 79-year-old Democrat “couldn’t make one if his life depended on it”.

“Joe Biden says it’s easy to make a gun,” he wrote on Twitter Monday.

“You could give a week of training, a month to build it, and every tool in the world and… he couldn’t make one if his life depended on it”, Rep. Massie said. Continued Below

The Kentucky congressman also fired back against the rule over so-called “ghost guns”, calling it unconstitutional and pointing out that “Congress makes law”, not Joe Biden.

“The Constitution does not authorize the federal government to prevent you from making your own firearm. This a fact that has been recognized for 200+ years. Also, Article 1, Section 1 (literally the first operative sentence in the Constitution) says Congress makes law, not POTUS!” the Kentucky congressman tweeted on Sunday.
