45th President Donald J. Trump slammed “Crooked” Joe Biden on Monday, calling him an “incompetent FOOL” who “is absolutely destroying America” after the Biden administration struck a deal with Iran to swap prisoners and release $6 billion in frozen Iranian funds.
Per the deal, Iran will release five American citizens detained in Iran, and the U.S. release five Iranian citizens being held in the U.S., Bradford Betz at Fox News reported.
The deal, according to the Associated Press (AP), entailed the Biden administration issuing a blanket waiver for international banks to transfer $6 billion in frozen Iranian money from South Korea to Qatar without U.S. sanctions. The money would then be held in Qatar’s central bank for Iran to use, reportedly for the purchase of humanitarian goods.
According to the AP, Secretary of State Antony Blinken signed off on the deal late last week, but Congress was not notified of the deal until Monday, which was also 9/11, the 22nd anniversary of the U.S. terrorist attacks.
The United States classifies Iran as a state sponsor of terrorism.
President Trump reacted in a post on Truth Social following the Biden administration’s deal with Iran.
“Can you believe that Crooked Joe Biden is giving $6 Billion to the terrorist regime in Iran?” the 45th President asked. “That money be used for terrorism all over the Middle East, and, indeed, the World”.
“This incompetent FOOL is absolutely destroying America. He had the audacity to announce this terrible deal today, September 11th,” President Trump pointed out.
“To pay for hostages will lead to kidnapping, ransom, and blackmail against Americans across the globe. I freed many dozens of our people from various unfriendly countries and never paid a dime!” he also said.
In an additional post, President Trump wondered “Where is the call from Republicans for the 25th Amendment?”
“Because of the Rigged and Stollen 2020 Presidential Election, just look at our Nation, and indeed the World, NOW! It is all a shadow of its former self. Ukraine, Inflation, Bad Economy, Woke Military, No World Standing, No Respect, and today, 6 Billion Dollars for hostages, he wrote.
“Where is the call from Republicans for the 25th Amendment?” Trump questioned.
