House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) panned Attorney General Merrick Garland in a statement on Twitter following the news of 45th President Donald Trump’s home in Mar-a-Lago, Florida reportedly being raided by FBI agents on Monday while he was in New York City.

An FBI source confirmed that FBI agents from Washington, D.C., who are on the bureau’s Evidence Response Team, conducted the raid and notified the Miami Field Office just before, Fox News reported.

“I’ve seen enough,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy expressed.

“The Department of Justice has reached an intolerable state of weaponized politicization,” he said.

“When Republicans take back the House, we will conduct immediate oversight of this department, follow the facts, and leave no stone unturned,” McCarthy vowed.

“Attorney General Garland, preserve your documents and clear your calendar,” the House minority leader advised.

McCarthy’s warning to Garland follows the former president’s statement, in which he described the FBI’s raid as “dark times for our nation”.
