Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) appeared to pretend to be handcuffed on Tuesday when she was escorted away by Capitol Police during a pro-abortion Supreme Court protest. In addition, 16 other members of Congress were also detained by law enforcement for blocking traffic outside the Supreme Court at the demonstration, as previously reported by The Freedom Times.

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) reacted to the episode, telling Ocasio-Cortez that “desperate isn’t a good look” on her and suggested that she “go back to your Insta makeup tutorials”, referring to videos the New York congresswoman posts on Instagram.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was seen being walked away by an officer alongside another protestor with her hands crossed behind her back, both of which had green bandanas, with the color being associated with the pro-abortion group Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights and pro-abortion protests across the country, Hannah Nightingale at The Post Millennial reported.

“AOC so you faked being handcuffed to keep lying to women? Abortion is legal up until birth in NY, but your voters can’t afford groceries and crime is out of control. Desperate isn’t a good look on you. Go back to your Insta makeup tutorials, you’re actually good at those,” Rep. Greene wrote said.

The Georgia congresswoman further addressed Rep. Ilhan Omar who was also detained by Capitol Police, calling her a “liar” and suggested the Democrat lawmaker was “protesting nothing”.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene then shared her thoughts over the matter in video thread on Twitter:
