According to AAA, the national average of gas per gallon is $4.86. That’s up 25 cents in the past week and 59 cents in the past month. Diesel’s average is $5.64.
Gas prices are predicted to hit “$6 a gallon by Labor Day”. In California, the average gallon of gas is $6.34, NBC News reports.
“The rise in record gas prices has been relentless. … Analysts are predicting 6 dollars per gallon by Labor Day,” NBC’s Sam Brock said.

The average national retail price for a gallon of regular gasoline is projected to surpass $6 by the of summer. According to JP Morgan, prices could surge another 37% by August, hitting a $6.20 per gallon national average, as previously reported by The Freedom Times.
