Business magnate Elon Musk criticized Democrats on Wednesday, stating they have “become the party of division and hate” and that he “can no longer support them”.

Musk confirmed on Twitter he will now “vote Republican”.

“In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party. But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican,” Elon Musk wrote on Twitter Wednesday.

“Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold …”, he added.

Elon also predicted: “Political attacks on me will escalate dramatically in coming months”.

His remarks come after a podcast interview on Monday where he said publicly, “Twitter has a very left bias. And I would classify myself as a moderate. … And in fact, I have voted overwhelmingly for Democrats historically, overwhelmingly. I might have never voted for a Republican, just to be clear. Now this election, I would”.

Meanwhile, Project Veritas released a video Tuesday of a Twitter executive calling Elon Musk “special”. Musk responded on Twitter writing, “Twitter exec trashing free speech & mocking people with Asperger’s”.
