Former U.S. Representative and U.S. Army Reserve LTC Tulsi Gabbard sent cease and desist letters today to U.S. Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) and former television personality Keith Olbermann regarding their statements asserting that Gabbard “was parroting false Russian propaganda”, according to a Wednesday press release.
The letters demand Romney and Olbermann cease these false, defamatory, and malicious claims and that they retract/takedown all such statements made about Gabbard and destroy all copies of those statements, as urged by her lawyer Harmeet K. Dhillon.
Senator Mitt Romney on March 13 accused former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of telling “treasonous lies” when Gabbard, in a video, said the U.S. was funding “25 to 30” biological labs in Ukraine and accused the Biden-Harris administration of trying to “cover this up”.
Keith Olbermann also accused Gabbard and Fox News host Tucker Carlson of being “Russian Assets”.
“They are Russian Assets and there is a war. There’s a case for detaining them militarily. Trials are a sign of good faith and patience on the part of democracy,” Olbermann alleged on Twitter March 14.
The former Hawaiian congresswoman posted a link to the cease and desist letters on Twitter Wednesday, adding, “When powerful, influential people make baseless accusations of treason, a crime punishable by death, in order to intimidate, silence and censor those who speak the truth, it has a chilling effect on our democracy. This cannot go unchecked.” Continued Below

Tulsi Gabbard posted a video on Twitter March 13 over US-funded biolabs in Ukraine:
There are 25+ US-funded biolabs in Ukraine which if breached would release & spread deadly pathogens to US/world. We must take action now to prevent disaster. US/Russia/Ukraine/NATO/UN/EU must implement a ceasefire now around these labs until they’re secured & pathogens destroyed pic.twitter.com/dhDTH5smIG
