During a Black History Month celebration at the White House on Monday, Jill Biden introduced Kamala Harris as “the president of United…”, before correcting herself to acknowledge Harris as the “vice president”.
She appeared to play down her gaffe while Joe Biden sat to the side, then claimed to the members in the audience, “I just said that to make you laugh”.
Jill Biden’s remarks:

While speaking, Harris claimed while “off script” that “when folks vote, they order what they want, and in this case, they got what they asked for”.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden, confirmed he was Jill Biden’s husband during the ceremony at the White House:
