45th President Donald Trump said in a Friday statement from Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) that TruthSocial is “welcoming” the Freedom Convoy of Truckers to to join his upcoming alternative, free speech platform to organize protests against vaccine mandates. Truth Social is expected to launch on on February 21.
Trump’s statement followed Facebook’s move to delete the pro-freedom truckers groups and GoFundMe’s restriction of funding access.
“Facebook and Big Tech are seeking to destroy the Freedom Convoy of Truckers. The Freedom Convoy is peacefully protesting the harsh policies of far left lunatic Justin Trudeau who has destroyed Canada with insane Covid mandates,” Trump, chairman of Trump Media and Technology Group, said.
“Now, thankfully, the Freedom Convoy could be coming to DC with American Truckers who want to protest Biden’s ridiculous Covid policies. Facebook is canceling the accounts of Freedom Convoy USA, and GoFundMe is denying access to funds that belong to the Freedom Convoy. This is unacceptable and extremely dangerous in any country that values free expression, he expressed, as reports of a trucker protest may soon take place in the United States.
“TruthSocial is announcing today that we are welcoming the Freedom Convoy with open arms to communicate freely on TruthSocial when we launch – coming very soon! TruthSocial will fight back against Big Tech so we can protect our rights to free expression,” Trump said.
“Also, on top of everything, it is big news that Facebook daily users went down for the first time ever, people are tired of biased social media like Twitter and Facebook, and it’s showing in their numbers! he added, highlighting Facebook’s latest plunge. Continued Below
During a “Save America” rally in Conroe, Texas last weekend, the 45th President mentioned the Canadian truckers and their bravery, saying “we are with them all the way”.
“The Canadian truckers, you’ve been reading about it — who are resisting bravely these lawless mandates are doing more to defend American freedom than our own leaders by far, and we want those great Canadian truckers to know that we are with them all the way.”
Thousands of Canadian truckers last weekend journeyed to the country’s capital city, Ottawa, where they rallied against Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s vaccine mandates. American truckers are reportedly planning to organize a convoy of drivers from as far as California to travel to Washington D.C. in defiance of Covid vaccine mandates. Continued Below
