Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy put White House press secretary Jen Psaki on the spot as he questioned why Joe Biden apparently is now “unpopular in Virginia.”

Doocy quoted Virginia’s Democrat gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe, who recently said during a virtual rally, “We are facing a lot of headwinds from Washington. As you know, the president is unpopular today, unfortunately, here in Virginia, so we’ve got to plow through.”

“The Democratic candidate for governor in Virginia, Terry McAuliffe, who President Biden stumped for over the summer now says, ‘ The president is unpopular today, unfortunately, here in Virginia, so we’ve got to plow through.’ Why do you think the president is unpopular in Virginia?” asked Doocy at Friday’s White House press briefing.

Psaki attempted to fend off the question by suggesting polls show Biden is “the most popular figure in Virginia of anyone currently running for president or any former recent president.”

She went on to claim, “The president’s agenda is very popular.” Video Below
