Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-GA) campaign on Thursday announced a giveaway of a Barrett M82A1 sniper rifle and posted a video ad to her campaign’s YouTube account showing off the gun. Greene compared the .50 caliber rifle to U.S. military equipment left behind during the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan last month, which was later seized by the Taliban.
She said she is doing a “gun giveaway of my own,” but for “Americans only,” stating that she is going to “blow away the Democrats’ socialist agenda” in 2022, before using the rifle to destroy a Prius labeled “socialism.”

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), on Saturday, responded to her colleague’s video ad, claiming Republicans are “constantly threatening violence in their campaign ads”, adding, “This is sick and dangerous”.

Rep. Greene, in turn, responded back to Rep. Omar in a series of tweets, claiming that the Minnesota congresswoman is the one who is “sick and dangerous”, referencing how Omar “promoted, financially supported, & bailed out violent domestic terrorists who literally burned down your own city, causing billions in damage to poor vulnerable communities.”
Greene warned Omar that in 2022, she is “going to investigate & remove” her “for supporting terrorism”.

Greene went on to say that Omar “won’t be the only one”, asserting that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) “will be going with you”, along with Kamala Harris.

Rep. Greene continued, writing, “For me, it’s people over politicians”, predicting that she will be “sitting in” Omar’s seat “on the Foreign Affairs Committee”.

In another post on Saturday, Rep. Omar alleged Rep. Greene’s “rhetoric has endangered the lives of so many people”, without providing factual evidence to back her claim.
She posted a picture of Rep. Greene on an airplane wearing a mask, which is required by the TSA, but asserted Green is being “hypocritical and needs to be exposed”, adding that Greene is a “typical hypocrite cult leader”.

The Georgia congresswoman again responded by evoking allegations that Omar married her brother to assist his entry to the United States.
“Damn autocorrect, every time I try to type your name it keeps correcting to Brotherf*cker. @IlhanMN marriage fraud is a felony. Free upgrades are nice on airlines, but marrying your bother (sic) to give him an upgrade is a felony. I look forward to make sure is investigated,” she wrote.
