45th President Donald J. Trump said Wednesday in an email statement from his “Save America” PAC that he has spoken to the family of Ashli Babbitt, the Trump supporter killed by a Capitol Police officer during the January 6 Capitol protest, declaring, “We know who he is”.

Trump’s statement comes as a number of people have demanded to have the identity of the officer,  who shot Babbitt, publicly released.

Statement by Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America:

I spoke to the wonderful mother and devoted husband of Ashli Babbitt, who was murdered at the hands of someone who should never have pulled the trigger of his gun. We know who he is.

If that happened to the “other side,” there would be riots all over America and yet, there are far more people represented by Ashli, who truly loved America, than there are on the other side.

The Radical Left haters cannot be allowed to get away with this. There must be justice! Continued Below

Former President Trump told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo last month, “I will tell you they know who shot Ashli Babbitt. They’re protecting that person.”

“I’ve heard also that it was the head of security for a certain high official – a Democrat – and we’ll see, because it’s going to come out. It’s going to come out,” he predicted.

The Department of Justice announced in April it would not pursue criminal charges against the U.S. Capitol Police officer and closed the investigation. Continued Below

On July 1, Trump asked, “Who shot Ashli Babbitt?”

Trump, in another statement in July, wondered whether House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) will “investigate herself”, and whether she will address “who didn’t want extra protection” at the Capitol on the day of the protest, and “who killed Ashli Babbitt”?
