Maricopa County Audit Update: Handcount, Paper Examination Phase Expected To Be Complete In Near Future

The Maricopa County forensic audit appears to be nearing its endpoint, as the hand count of over 2 million ballots was completed on Monday (with the exception of Braille ballots), while the paper examination phase has taken off at lightening speed and is expected to be completed by Saturday, June 26.

The official account of Arizona’s Senate Liason for the Maricopa County Election Audit dropped news of the progress on Twitter.

“Audit Update: Hand count of ballots was completed yesterday with the exception of Braille ballots. The paper examination phase continues and we are examining over 100k ballots per day!” Arizona’s senate liason tweeted.

“At our current rate of examining over 100k ballots per day, we will complete the paper examination phase of the audit by Saturday, June 26,” they added.
