Senator Lindsey Graham issued a response after Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) claimed that calling the massive influx of immigrants coming to the southern border a “surge” pushes White supremacy.

“Anyone who’s using the term ‘surge’ around you consciously is trying to invoke a militaristic frame,” AOC alleged on Tuesday night during an Instagram Live video, as reported by SwampDrain.com.

“And that’s a problem because this is not a surge. These are children and they are not insurgents and we are not being invaded, which by the way is a White supremacist idea-philosophy, the idea that if another is coming in the population that this is an invasion of who we are,” Rep. Ocasio-Cortez claimed.

In response, Sen. Graham recommended for Rep. Ocasio-Cortez to “go see for yourself” what’s taking place at the border — just as he and 18 other U.S. senators did last week — before trying to comment on it publicly. He then urged her to “stop the madness.”

“To AOC and other Members of Congress who deny the incredible surge of illegal immigrants at our Southern border: it is incumbent upon you to visit and speak with the Border Patrol agents dealing with the chaos,” Sen. Graham tweeted on Wednesday. “They’re being overwhelmed – thousands of young people are being placed at risk, and the Biden Administration is incentivizing illegal immigration at unprecedented levels.”

“Go see for yourself,” he added. “The Border Patrol and Customs agents dealing with this chaos will tell you the truth – it will be up to you to listen and accept the truth. Stop the madness.” See Below
