Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee had a few choice words for Alec Baldwin’s wife, Hilaria Baldwin, in wake of controversy surrounding her accent.
The Tweet read: “You have to admire Hilaria Baldwin’s commitment to her decade long grift where she impersonates a Spanish person.”
Several clips soon followed proving that Balwin’s accent is not real.
As a result of the firestorm that transpired from the accusation, Hilaria admitted on video that she is really a “white girl” named Hillary who was born in Boston, and not in Majorca, Spain as she previously claimed.
“There’s some stuff that needs to be clarified,” Baldwin said. “There’s been some questions about where I’m born, I’m born in Boston … I spent some of my childhood in Boston, some of my childhood in Spain, my family, my brother, my parents, my nephew, everybody is over there in Spain now, I’m here.”
Hilaria then attempted to explain her fluctuating accent when she said, “I am that person, if I’ve been speaking a lot of Spanish, I tend to mix them or if I’m speaking a lot of English, I mix that, it’s one of those things I’ve always been a bit insecure about.”
As Hilaria continues to defend the controversy surrounding her accent and heritage, Mike Huckabee issued a classic reaction as a show of “empathy” towards her.
Huckabee tweeted: “To show empathy for Hillary/Hilaria/Hilarious Baldwin, wife of Alec/Alex/ Baldwin, I will now be known as Miguel, the Spanish knight and speak in my newly acquired Spanish accent. I visited Spain a couple of times, so I also “lived there” and I’m “from there.” See Below
