Donald Trump Jr. has been seizing the opportunity to blast Rep. Eric Swalwell since learning of the Democrat congressman’s close ties to an alleged Chinese spy.
Swalwell has been the subject of intense scrutiny after a report by Axios linked him to a Chinese national named Fang Fang — aka Christina Fang — an alleged operative for China’s Ministry of State Security.

According to the report, Fang first began interacting with Swalwell in the early stages of his political career in 2012, and eventually assisted in campaign contribution efforts for his re-election bid in 2014. At one point, Fang even helped place an intern in the California congressman’s office.
In 2015, Swalwell cut off contact with Fang after U.S. intelligence officials provided a “defensive briefing” to him in regards to Fang’s activities that they had been monitoring for some time, according to the report.
While Swalwell and his office refuse to comment on the extent of his relationship with the alleged Chinese spy, Donald Trump Jr. assumed the obvious as Axios also reported that Fang had “romantic or sexual relationships” with at least two elected officials.
As part of his initial response to the report, Trump Jr. tweeted: “So Rep Swalwell who spent years saying I was an agent of Russia was literally sleeping with a Chinese spy at the time.”
“You can’t make this stuff up. How can this compromised individual/moron continue to sit on an intelligence committee?” he questioned.

Trump Jr. has been on a frenzy over the past 24 hours — at one point, sarcastically giving Swalwell props over his connection to Fang.
“Ya know, there’s actually a tiny part of me that wants to congratulate Eric Swalwell for getting a real, live woman to be intimate with him, even if she was a Chinese Communist spy. It’s gotta be so much harder for him now after he shat himself on live TV,” Don Jr. tweeted on Wednesday.
