Former Hollywood actor James Woods took aim at Joe Biden after news broke that staffers of the presumptive Democratic nominee are donating to a group that is bailing out jailed people in Minnesota who were protesting the death of George Floyd.
According to a Reuters report, “At least 13 Biden campaign staff members posted on Twitter on Friday and Saturday that they made donations to the Minnesota Freedom Fund, which opposes the practice of cash bail, or making people pay to avoid pre-trial imprisonment. The group uses donations to pay bail fees in Minneapolis.”
Biden’s spokesman Andrew Bates said the former VP himself opposes cash bail, which he compares to a “modern day debtors prison,” according to the report.
In response to the news, Woods tweeted “I wondered where #HidinBiden was in the middle of this treacherous anarchy. Why, having his staff bail out looters and criminals, of course!”
“Come on out, Joe, and check your shadow!” he added along with the hashtag “#WhereIsJoeBiden?”

Woods then replied to a tweet made by Biden, where the former Vice President said, “We are a nation in pain, but we must not allow this pain to destroy us. We are a nation enraged, but we cannot allow our rage to consume us. Please stay safe. Please take care of each other.”

While Biden’s staffers have taken measures to bail out protestors, which could include members of Antifa, Trump announced that the U.S. would be designating Antifa as a “terrorist organization.”
