President Donald Trump took to Twitter Saturday to respond to remarks Nicolle Wallace had made Friday on MSNBC, in which she argued that “the right is running a smear campaign against Joe Biden” as the former vice president faces an allegation of sexual assault from former Senate staffer Tara Reade.
Wallace appeared to be reacting to Biden’s Friday interview with MSNBC colleague Mika Brzezinski, in which he denied the allegation.
“Let me just say this to you having once been a part of the Republican party: the right isn’t running an intellectually honest operation to get to the bottom of whether Tara Reade was victimized. The right is running a smear campaign against Joe Biden,” Nicolle Wallace claimed.
“The right wants to create some sort of equal playing field on which Donald Trump’s more than two dozen, or nearly two dozen accusers, sort of, have some company on the other side,” she added.
“The right is not running the same operation that the Democrats are running, which is to try to … have some consistency around statements, that I think just about every elected Democrat has made about women in the context of the Me Too movement,” Wallace alleged.
Conservative author and Fox News host Mark Levin responded to Wallace’s statement on Twitter, saying she is “One of MSLSD’s stable of dimwits, Nicolle Wallace, humiliating herself, again,” and attached an article from The Right Scoop of the MSNBC host. Continued Below
President Trump retweeted Mark Levin’s post on Saturday and fired back at Nicolle Wallace, calling her a “3rd rate lapdog for Fake News”.
“She was thrown off The View like a dog, Zero T.V. Personas,” the President wrote. “Now Wallace is a 3rd rate lapdog for Fake News MSDNC (Concast). Doesn’t have what it takes!” Video Below
