Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) reacted to a intel suggesting that China has been “under-reporting” it’s coronavirus cases, according to three unidentified U.S. officials who spoke to Bloomberg News.

Bloomberg learned that the U.S. intelligence community concluded in a classified report to the White House that “China has concealed the extent of the coronavirus outbreak in its country, under-reporting both total cases and deaths it’s suffered from the disease”.

As per Bloomberg:

“The officials asked not to be identified because the report is secret, and they declined to detail its contents. But the thrust, they said, is that China’s public reporting on cases and deaths is intentionally incomplete. Two of the officials said the report concludes that China’s numbers are fake.”

Senator Cruz, who has long suspected that China is covering up their negligence in the coronavirus outbreak, weighed in on the new report after a Twitter user tweeted Bloomberg’s article saying, “I don’t know who to believe.”

“Not China,” Cruz replied. “The Chinese communist govt has murdered over 60 million people. They currently have over 1 million people imprisoned in concentration camps. They torture & kill their citizens & deny them free speech or religious liberty. And they COVERED UP Wuhan outbreak for months.”

On Sunday, Cruz used simple logic to lay out why he knows China is “lying” about the number of their coronavirus cases.

While responding to Senator Marco Rubio, Cruz wrote, “We KNOW China is lying. On 3/1, China had 80,026 reported cases. On 3/28, it had 81,439. Does anyone believe this highly contagious virus just stopped in China on 3/1, right as it became a pandemic worldwide? And American media (for $$) willingly repeat the lies.”

In ending, here is a video Sen. Cruz tweeted on Wednesday showing the Japanese Prime Minister explaining how the Chinese government covered up the Wuhan coronavirus epidemic:
