Iran’s foreign minister Javad Zarif is now saying “US adventurism” caused Iran’s military to shoot down a Ukrainian passenger jet.

The downing of the airplane with 176 people on board happened just hours after Iran fired missiles at two Iraqi military bases where U.S. soldiers were being housed.

Iran initially blamed a “mechanical error” for the jet’s crash that left all passengers dead, however on Saturday morning, Iranian officials apologized for accidentally shooting down the aircraft after they published findings of its preliminary investigation.

“A sad day. Preliminary conclusions of internal investigation by Armed Forces: Human error at time of crisis caused by US adventurism led to disaster,” Iranian foreign minister Zarif tweeted.

“Our profound regrets, apologies and condolences to our people, to the families of all victims, and to other affected nations,” he added along with a broken heart emoji.

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee responded to Zarif after seeing his tweet. See Below

“Only sick and deranged ppl believe Iran shooting down a civilian airliner was the fault of @realDonaldTrump & USA,” Huckabee said in a reply to Zarif.

“But Dems running for @POTUS & hate-filled media line up w/ murderous Iranian regime which is all you need to know,” he declared. “Pathetic!” See Below

Democrat Presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg also insinuated the U.S. was partially responsible for downing of  Ukraine’s passenger jet, as he claimed it was part of an “unwanted military tit for tat.”
