Senate Judiciary Chairman, Lindsey Graham (R-SC), took to Twitter in a series of tweets Monday, slamming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) after she reiterated her plan to not make any more moves with impeachment until she knows the level of “fairness” with the Senate trial rules.
Pelosi tweeted on Monday: “The House cannot choose our impeachment managers until we know what sort of trial the Senate will conduct. President Trump blocked his own witnesses and documents from the House, and from the American people, on phony complaints about the House process. What is his excuse now?”
Senator Graham tweeted in response to Speaker Pelosi: “This Constitutional outrage by @SpeakerPelosi needs to end. She is trying to run the Senate and deny President @realDonaldTrump his day in court after the House’s sham impeachment process.”
“Stop playing games with the Constitution. In our system, you can’t be the Speaker of the House and the Senate Majority Leader at the same time. The Senate will decide how we dispose of this sham created by the House. If this continues into 2020, the Senate needs to strike back, standing up for our rights and ending this debacle,” the Senate Judiciary chairman continued.
President Donald Trump also ripped Pelosi on Twitter Monday writing: “Nancy Pelosi, who has already lost the House & Speakership once, & is about to lose it again, is doing everything she can to delay the zero Republican vote Articles of Impeachment. She is trying to take over the Senate, & Cryin’ Chuck is trying to take over the trial. No way!”
“What right does Crazy Nancy have to hold up this Senate trial. None! She has a bad case and would rather not have a negative decision. This Witch Hunt must end NOW with a trial in the Senate, or let her default & lose. No more time should be wasted on this Impeachment Scam!” he added. (Continued Below)
In response to President Trump slamming Pelosi, Senator Graham fired off again: “It’s time for @SpeakerPelosi, who claimed impeachment was a national imperative, to fish or cut bait. Commit to sending the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate consistent with Constitutional obligations.” [Emphasis added].
“If she refuses, Senate Republicans should take matters into our own hands. We are in charge of the Senate — not Pelosi or Schumer. Speaker Pelosi’s actions are an affront to the Constitution, the Senate, and denies President @realDonaldTrump his day in court,” Graham said.
“This case should mirror the process used in the Clinton impeachment and should come to an end in weeks, not months,” he added. (Continued Below)
On Sunday, Senator Graham told host Maria Bartiromo on Fox News‘ “Sunday Morning Futures”: “And to this impeachment debacle, to my Democratic colleagues, impeachment is a dead cat. Stop playing with it. Bury it. It’s going nowhere. Quit violating the Constitution. Give the president his day in court and let’s get this behind us so we can talk about things people really care about in this country.” [Emphasis added].

Senator Graham also responded to House Democrats suggesting they may impeach again:
“Best evidence yet that Democrats don’t believe they can beat president @realDonaldTrump at the ballot box. Legal filings by Democrat lawyer suggests new impeachment Articles could be in the works based on testimony from the Mueller investigation,” Graham tweeted.
“Democrats are treating impeachment as an open bar tab. Time to cut them off, take their car keys away (put GOP in control of the House), and end this insanity,” he added.
