The New York Times somehow got tipped off about the so-called private hearings that are happening behind closed doors, as they reported details of what a witness is going to testify in front of the impeachment inquiry committees on Tuesday before it even happens.

White House official Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman, the director of European affairs at the National Security Council (NSC), plans to tell the House committees that he “did not think it was proper” for President Trump to mention anything about investigating Joe Biden in a phone call with Ukranian President Zelensky, according to the report by The New York Times.

Vindman, who listened to President Trump’s phone conversation with President Zelensky, reportedly will testify that he was so troubled by what he heard that he alerted a NSC lawyer about his concerns.

Senator Lindsey Graham issued a fiery statement in response to the report from The New York Times, where he pointed to it as proof that leaks are continuing in the “sham process” that he thinks should now “come to an immediate end.”

“Clearly Democrats continue to leak behind closed door testimony to damage President @realDonaldTrump,” Graham said in part of a thread of tweets. See Below

“The NY Times story is Exhibit A in their ongoing efforts to use a sham process for the purpose of driving down Trump’s approval rating,” Graham proclaimed. “It should come to an immediate end. This selective leaking without due process puts the presidency at risk.”

“As to Colonel, he’s entitled to his opinion about the phone call. I read the transcript and found nothing wrong with it,” he added.

“Finally how is this different than three Democratic senators writing to Ukraine demanding they cooperate with Mueller investigation?” Graham questioned. See Below
