The President tweeted a video clip displaying the massive crowds of supporters that were waiting to get into his Dallas, Texas rally on Thursday, but President Trump’s tweet seemingly irked anti-Trump actor, Tom Arnold.
Arnold responded to President Trump on Twitter where he suggested that the Commander in Chief could meet the same fate as John F. Kennedy while in Dallas.
President Trump tweeted Thursday ahead of the rally, “Just arrived at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Will be out shortly as we wait for more of you to get in!”
Tom Arnold responded to the President with a veiled reference to former President John F. Kennedy.
“Don’t get too cocky traitor. They showed up for JFK too,” Arnold wrote on Twitter, appearing to be referencing Kennedy’s assassination.
On November 22, 1963, when he was hardly past his first thousand days in office, John Fitzgerald Kennedy was killed by an assassin’s bullets as his motorcade wound through Dallas, Texas. Kennedy was the youngest man elected President; he was the youngest to die. (Continued Below)
Just before Arnold’s tweet was posted, however, Dallas police officers averted a very real threat. According to a report from NBC’s Dallas-Fort Worth affiliate, a man carrying a variety of weapons was detained near the president’s rally before he could cause anyone harm, the Daily Caller reported.
“A man wearing a vest, helmet and a backpack near President Trump’s Dallas rally counter-protestors was just detained by Dallas police. Officers confiscated a gun, breathing mask, knee pads & some type of aerosol can,” NBC reported.
Arnold also responded to the arrest in Dallas after a Twitter user asked if it was the actor. Tom Arnold wrote, “I don’t own a gun. I’m a real man. I will wrestle the traitor at his next rally if he’s willing. He’s in the WWE Hall Of Fame. For what? Extortion? Cowardice? Definitely not being a patriot. You support Donald Trump now. You are UnAmerican too.” (Continued Below)
