Rep.Elijah Cummings’ (D-MD) Baltimore house was reportedly broken into in early Saturday morning before President Trump tweeted about the Maryland congressman and his district.

CBS affiliate in Baltimore reported that Cummings’s home was broken into. A Baltimore Police Department spokesperson confirmed to The Hill that a burglary had taken place in the area at about 3:40 a.m. Saturday and the department was investigating, as per The Hill.

“At this time, it is unknown if any property was taken from the location,” a police spokesman told CNBC.

President Trump ripped Cummings and his district on Saturday morning, accusing the Democratic congressman of being a “brutal bully” and that his district was “rat and rodent infested” and a “very dangerous & filthy place” where “no human being would want to live.”

On Thursday, Cummings visited Baltimore constituents in Waverly and tweeted a picture of his visit.

He wrote, “I visited a packed house at Stadium Place today to provide the seniors there with a legislative update & to talk about my work in Congress. We talked about what matters to them, & they encouraged me to keep doing my job & continue fighting for them in Washington.” [Video Below]
