Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s plot to sabotage Trump’s State of the Union Address hilariously backfired when she was fact-checked by the Secret Service and the DHS.

Then, the Commander in Chief fired back at Pelosi and her colleagues when he canceled her foreign travel an hour before takeoff. He invited her to stay in DC and negotiate instead of letting 800,000 workers miss a second paycheck. That was a clear “checkmate” from the White House. (Video Below)

It’s all about timing, and today President Trump waited until the last second to shut down Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s flight. This should be a lesson that President Trump is precise and strategic for maximum effect.

Let’s review for a moment. Nancy went to Hawaii. Dems had a junket to Puerto Rico. Now they want to go to Europe on taxpayer money all while 800,000 people are not getting paid. The optics on this are abysmal.

Key GOP leaders reacted after the Commander in Chief pulled the plug on Pelosi. (Video Below)

Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) wrote, “First it was Hawaii. Then it was Puerto Rico. Then it was using military aircraft to fly overseas… all while the government is shut down. Bravo to POTUS. The Speaker (and all members) should stay in Washington until Democrats can compromise and secure our southern border.”

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said, “One sophomoric response does not deserve another. Speaker Pelosi’s threat to cancel the State of the Union is very irresponsible and blatantly political. President Trump denying Speaker Pelosi military travel to visit our troops in Afghanistan, our allies in Egypt and NATO is also inappropriate.”

Graham continued, “I am glad the Speaker wants to meet our troops and hear from our commanders and allies. I am very disappointed she’s playing politics with the State of the Union. I wish our political leadership could find the same desire to work for common goals as those who serve our nation in uniform and other capacities.” (Video Below)

Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) said, “Bipartisan CODEL. Bipartisan is a rule for my annual CODEL to the Middle East (Not on the beach in PR) for Christmas w our troops. What’s next you ask? Lock us ALL in a room in DC. No pay. No phones. No one leaves until there’s white smoke. Time to negotiate & compromise w POTUS.”

GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel wrote, “@realDonaldTrump is right to force Democrats back to the negotiating table. It’s long past time they work with President Trump to address the crisis at the border.”

Former Governor Mike Huckabee joked, “Flying commercial ain’t that bad. I’m on a flight today from CA. Hey Nancy if @realDonaldTrump makes you fly like me I’ll loan you some @Delta miles! I got bunch of em!”

The master troller, President Trump, missed a massive trolling opportunity here though. Pelosi previously said that she would give $1 for the border wall. Trump should have told her in the letter he would give her $1 for her airfare.

Further, President Trump said, “Hopefully, Democrat lawmakers will step forward to do what is right for our country and finally secure our border.”
